Description

Thread Rolling Machine Function

The HGS-50 Electric Rebar Thread Rolling Machine is a specialized core device used in construction engineering for processing straight threaded ends of ribbed steel bars, and it plays a key role in achieving threaded rebar connections. It is suitable for steel grades such as HRB335 and HRB400, with a standard processing diameter range of Φ16–40mm. Some models can be extended to Φ12–50mm and support both right-hand and left-hand thread processing.

Thread Rolling Machine Working Principle

Core Components: Bearing, Gearbox, Motor, Gear, Pump
Power: 7.5kW
Voltage: 380V / 50Hz
Dimensions (L×W×H): 1250×700×1100mm

1. Reinforcing Bar Clamping Mechanism
The clamping of reinforcing bars is achieved through a self-centring mechanism, wherein the rotation of a dual-threaded screw shaft drives the clamping jaws to slide.

2. Threaded Head Processing
With the rebar clamped, the thread rolling die rotates and performs axial feed to complete thread formation. Die rotation is driven by the main motor via a reduction gearbox at 50 revolutions per minute. Feed is achieved by the operator actuating a handle, which engages a rack-and-pinion mechanism to drive the reduction gearbox and thread rolling die along the slide bar.

3. Thread Rolling Dies
The thread rolling wheels comprise three interchangeable components, forming the thread in a single pass.

4. Feed and Retraction
Activate the main motor switch to drive the reduction gearbox and thread rolling head. The operator advances the feed via the handle. Upon thread completion, the limit switch plate depresses the limit switch button. Following a delay, the machine reverses to the starting position and automatically shuts down.

How to Use a New Rebar Thread Rolling Machine

1. First, connect the power supply. The machine will initially retract to its lowest position before advancing forward. Once it clears the start limit switch, the cutting head commences rotation.

2. Secure the rebar firmly in the vice. Position the rebar flush with the cutting head of the cold-cutting saw. Turn the handle. The head rotates forwards, first using the deburring blade to remove the transverse and longitudinal ribs from the rebar. Subsequently, the deburring disc opens, concluding the deburring process.

3. Continue cranking the handle to thread the rebar. At this point, the head automatically advances forward. No further cranking is required. Upon contacting the limit switch, the head reverses direction and retracts backwards. Finally, inspect the thread condition; the threaded end should appear full and smooth.

Precautions for operating HGS-50 Rebar Thread rolling machine:

1. During rolling operations, water-soluble cutting fluid must be used for cooling and lubrication. When temperatures fall below 0°C, add 20%-30% sodium nitrite solution. Under no circumstances should oil be substituted for or omitted from the cutting fluid.
2. Ensure proper grounding protection to safeguard personnel.
3. Clean the coolant tank and replace the coolant every 15 days of normal operation.
4. Regularly lubricate the gear reducer, maintaining the specified oil level.
5. Ensure the machine is stable before processing.
6. Apply a small amount of machine oil when replacing thread rolling wheel.
7. In case of abnormalities during operation, stop the machine immediately for inspection. Resume processing only after troubleshooting.
8. Switch off the main power supply before commissioning or changing threading dies.
9. When bending reinforcing bars, process threaded ends first before bending.
10. After processing both ends of the reinforcing bar, one end shall be fitted with a straight threaded rebar coupler, while the other end shall be fitted with a protective cap to prevent damage to the threaded ends during handling..
11. Reject substandard threaded ends by cutting them off and re-threading.
